Our Philosophy

Recognizing that an integrated concept of sustainability is crucial to long-term success, our approach incorporates how we operate throughout our economic, social  and environmental domains.

Economic

DairiConcepts is known in the food industry as a solid company positioned for international growth. With food safety and quality of utmost importance in our products, we support and adhere to globally-recognized industry standards including SQF-2000 Level 3 certification programs. These endeavors enhance the sustainability of our company by allowing us to deliver consistent, reliable products that promote long-term business relationships with our customers. We also collaborate with our suppliers and customers to improve sustainability throughout the value chain.

Our nine geographic locations support a total of nearly 600 jobs, contributing to the economic well-being of our employees, their families and communities. We train our employees to create and maintain accident-free environments, and we provide them opportunities for education to enhance job security and career success. Our employees have access to a comprehensive benefit program to help them maintain a healthy life and plan for a secure future.

Social

Our corporate and individual plant locations provide community support through the recommendations of our employees. Based on each community’s interests and needs, we support local sports teams, schools, civic groups and charities. Employees are encouraged to serve their communities through personal involvement in these organizations and by helping families in need.

Environmental

Efforts are made at each location to preserve and protect our natural environment. For example, our individual locations have implemented environmental improvements based on the specific functions and needs of each facility. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Solid waste reduction through recycling of selected materials
  • Energy reduction through the use of high efficiency lighting, burners, motors and insulated equipment
  • Water conservation and wastewater reduction through plant system improvements
  • Fuel and transportation savings through freight consolidation and a direct gas line
  • Pursuit of innovative, alternate technologies for emissions reduction

On the Horizon
