Asiago is a semi-hard Italian cheese with flavors ranging from mild to sharp, with the sharper flavors resembling a blend of aged Cheddar and Parmesan cheeses. DairiConcepts’ Artisiano™ Asiago has the flavor profile of a medium to aged Asiago.
Asiago cheese, once considered a high-end gourmet cheese is on the move to mainstream. Consumption increased 5% in 2006 compared to 2005 and Asiago is quickly becoming a menu staple in restaurants and home recipes.
